“We enjoyed use of kitchen /dining space, which included tea, coffee, and proper dishes and utensils. We could store extra food in the refrigerator. The warming closet to hang up wet clothes was amazing. Bed was very comfortable. View of lake was lovely. Host was attentive. Great stepping off point for hiking.”

“Neil is a phenomenal host who has thought of everything. And if you want to know about the history of Scotland or England or want to discuss it, you've come to the right place! He's incredibly knowledgeable about a variety of topics. He's also a tremendous cook and has a great sense of humor. And the view of Ben Nevis right out the window is to die for. We slept very well in the super comfortable bed and woke to the sound of chirping birds.”

“Good sized car park for amount of rooms.
Arrived to allsorts of treats in the fridge which were topped up each day which was a nice bonus.
When I contacted owner becuase the cleaner had forgotten to put bin liner in the bin after cleaning he was very quick to respond and had came to sort it as soon as he could.
Loved the size of the rooms and was very clean.
You do have to drive out to get to anything though as there isn't anywhere to eat/shop nearby.”

“I don't understand how a hotel with such an incredible location and view could be so run down.
The place is dirty and poorly kept. The painting and general maintenance is either non-existent or done by people with zero skills and budget.
Many of the lights in the room didn't work.
The wifi is utterly useless.
The food was actually pretty decent, though, so they get one positive point here.”

“Pods were great and practical if tiny. The biggest challenge was the complete lack of storage space in the pod. Other pods we stayed at kept the space under the beds open for easy storage. These were completely closed, so the only space was the 1-2 feet between the beds. We had to climb over our backpacks to get to the door to go in or out.”

“If you’re just looking for beds and a shower, it’s fine. We stayed in a family room that slept six. The beds were comfortable enough. However, the room was stuffy and there is no air conditioning. We tried to open the single window and discovered a lot of knats. So we smashed them and decided not to open the window since there are no screens. They did provide two fans in the room, so we made do with that for the one night we stayed. In the morning we went out to put our bags in the car……
